A Quick Update (April 2020)
Hi there! Just a quick update!
We're still hard at work developing Project Rogue Pawn (name not final) to be the best commercial version of the LD game it can be.
- Most recently, I (Arden) have been working on creating a robust dialogue system. We'll use it to introduce story to our little chess world, and drive things forward as you explore the kingdoms!
- Adam (my brother and co-developer) has been deep in art-world, making the game more beautiful than ever. He's currently working on art for a new (undisclosed) region of the game.
We're working hard to have something releasable this year. But as game development is a fluid business, we're still not sure exactly what that means for our players! More info to come!
In the meantime, here's a little piece of news:
Ludum Dare 46 took place this weekend, and I decided to take a short break from project Rogue Pawn to participate in the event. We haven't participated since LD 41! Since my world has been revolving around chess lately, I decided to keep this entry in the theme, and create a Chess-Based Deck-Builder.
I'd love it if you took a few minutes to check it out!
